Founded in 2023 by Shawn Ho and Zhanyi Xing in Stockholm, Sweden, Film8 is a young yet ambitious visual production studio driven by a shared passion for photography and filmmaking. In just two years, we’ve built a strong presence not only in Sweden but also across Europe, the U.S., and China.

We provide both B2B and B2C services. For businesses, we offer event photography, commercial photography and videography, and corporate portraits. For individuals, our cozy studio in Gamla Stan welcomes clients for ID photos, business headshots, and lifestyle photo sessions — or simply a friendly chat over coffee.

Among our work, event photography is what we’re most proud of. We’ve had the honor of documenting events for KTH, Dubai Chamber, Semper, The Ortus Club, Högalidskyrkan, Dreame, Water Woman Forum, Stockholm Dual Career Network, Maison Margiela, and even Paris Fashion Week.

Commercial photography is where our creative energy truly shines. We’ve collaborated with leading brands such as MaxMara (including a Skansen photo now displayed in their office!), Volvo, and Tenways, as well as smaller, passionate companies like the pet accessory brand Lika.

Our videography service is an expanding part of Film8. We started by producing campaigns for major Chinese automotive and fashion brands such as Volvo China, Lynk & Co, DCar, and Peacebird. Recently, we’ve begun working with Swedish startups — including creating two films for the fast-growing AI company Legora — a step toward making our video production more local and sustainable.

Finally, our corporate portrait service remains one of our signatures. We’ve created professional headshots for organizations such as Johnson & Johnson, Lynk & Co, NyföretagarCentrum, and Svenska kyrkan, helping teams present a confident and approachable image across platforms.
