Capturing Dreame’s Nordic Roadshow – From Concept to Screen

Dreame Technology is hitting the road across the Nordics to meet customers where they are – literally. With a pop-up shop on wheels, the Dreame Truck Roadshow will tour Sweden, Norway and Denmark, letting you discover and experience their latest innovations in home cleaning technology.

Naturally, Film8 wanted to contribute – starting with a trailer. We took on the role of planning the shoot and handling photography, videography, drone operation, and post-production.

Film8 used the brand new DJI Mavic 4 Pro for the drone photography part.

Team & Roles

Dreame Technology set the direction for the project by sharing their vision for the trailer.

Film8’s very own Shawn Ho was the photographer, videographer, and post-production master.

Pengfei Yang was the dedicated drone operator, capturing what was happening from above. Liam Ren also provided previously shot, powerful drone footage.

Creative Direction

Our goal was to capture the innovative feeling of Dreame and bring it closer to the Nordic people. Although the client wanted the trailer to match their previous content in some way, Film8 had the creative freedom to add our own touch.

The trailer was initially made for internal use at Dreame Technology, to reach their employees and stakeholders. To our happy surprise, the trailer was posted on the company’s social media, spreading the excitement to their followers as well.

Film8 adapted the video to a Nordic style, catering to audiences from the Scandinavian countries.

 Tight Timeline, Strong Delivery

Film8 was first approached with the idea for the project in May of this year. After that, things moved quickly.

On June 2nd, 2025, everything came together: we captured the footage, delivered the first draft, made revisions based on feedback, and submitted the final version.

The final trailer runs 40 seconds, and was posted to the company’s LinkedIn and Instagram.

Even though a large portion of the information about the shoot was received by Film8 on short notice, and we only had one chance to nail parts of the video, we’re very pleased with how the visuals turned out.

Equipment & Location

The camera used for the shoot was a Nikon Z8, with the lens 24-70, 2.8/S. Additionally, an ND filter was attached to the camera to modify the intensity of the natural light.

Thankfully, the weather permitted us to use a drone, and our choice was a DJI Mavic 4 Pro Creator Combo.

The road from Värtahamnen to Kungsträdgården in Stockholm provided a dynamic urban backdrop perfect for the Dreame truck.

Final Reflections

A tight schedule and limited margin for error shouldn’t stand in the way of getting high-quality results, as long as you know what you are doing.
