Behind the Scenes: Legora’s $80M Announcement & Podcast Launch

In early 2025, Legora — the legal tech startup revolutionizing the legal sales space — secured an impressive $80 million in Series B funding, led by ICONIQ and General Catalyst, with continued support from Redpoint Ventures, Benchmark, and Y Combinator.

To support this major milestone, Legora partnered with Armadillo Entertainment to create two core pieces of content:

  • A CEO announcement video

  • A podcast launch video introducing their new software for lawyers

Both videos were shared across social platforms and became Legora’s most engaging LinkedIn posts to date.

CEO Speech & Podcast

To mark a major milestone in Legora’s journey, the CEO speech and accompanying video were created to formally announce Legora’s successful Series B funding round. This high-quality visual production not only celebrates the achievement but also serves to elevate brand awareness among clients, investors, and the broader legal tech community. In tandem with this announcement, Legora introduces its official podcast—offering industry insights and thought leadership—and showcases its innovative software solutions designed to modernize and simplify legal workflows. Together, the video and podcast reflect Legora’s commitment to growth, transparency, and transforming the future of legal operations.

Who Did What?

Armadillo Entertainment was the Executive Producer while we, Film8, we were subcontracted and required to put together a dynamic and creative team:

Location: Helio Co-working, Stockholm

We shot both the CEO video and podcast intro at Helio, a centrally located co-working space in Stockholm. Ahead of the shoot, we prepared the space with:

  • Brand-appropriate props

  • Studio background and lighting setup

  • Camera calibration and soundcheck

  • Manual setup of the teleprompter (which lacked online instructions — but we figured it out the night before!)

Tight Schedule, Big Results

We had the studio booked for 4 hours, and within that window, we managed to:

  • Shoot a full CEO announcement

  • Record a dual-speaker podcast intro

  • Complete setup, lighting, and audio with precision

Challenges:

  • Minor time conflicts between speakers and scenes

  • An outdated teleprompter setup required extra preparation

  • No instructions online — so we relied on problem-solving and test runs

Lesson learned: Always test legacy gear in advance.
